If it seems like value-based care has been on the horizon forever, it’s actually been only 20 years.
Sound Accountable Care President Michael Camacho was one of several healthcare leaders asked by First Report Managed Care to weigh in on VBC on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.
He noted that an aging population and an aging long-term care workforce pose a huge challenge for the industry.
”The pressure is on to improve outcomes for older adults through new care models and technology, including telehealth,” he said.
